With 27 years of continued growth, since it’s inception in 1996, Recyclable Materials Marketing (ReMM) has proudly helped market millions of tonnes of recyclable material, provided expert consulting services for its clients, and helped create markets for materials that were previously destined to be disposed in landfills.
ReMM operates a full-service North American recyclable material brokerage firm offering the following services:
1. Marketing of all recovered recyclable materials from both residential and post-industrial sources, including end-market
sourcing and logistics (North American and Export).
2. Sourcing of materials required for manufacturers using recycled content in both Canada and the U.S.
3. Sourcing and development of end-markets for alternative/difficult to manage materials.
The ReMM Consulting Group offers customized solutions for the complex challenges that many businesses face when trying to navigate the evolving landscape of the new Circular Economy. We provide support to the private sector, municipal and NGO clients to help them extract maximum value from their resources, while determining effective ways to minimize residual waste and their overall carbon footprint.
Our consulting services involves working with large manufacturers on Sustainable Materials Management via waste reduction techniques, increased recycling and energy use of current wastes, and improved reporting metrics. The ReMM Group also assists our clients in the development and implementation of MRF/mill studies on packaging flow and recyclability for various packaging types.

Some recent clients/industries the ReMM Consulting team have worked with include: The Resource Productivity and Recovery Agency (RPRA), Continuous Improvement Fund (CIF), Stewardship Ontario (SO), City of Surrey, Region of Peel, manufacturers and converters of PET/fibre/plastic laminate and aseptic packaging, global electronics manufacturers and global quick service restaurant chain(s).

Our Sustainability Consulting division is currently seeking a Sustainability Consultant, with working knowledge of recycling, plastics, packaging and extended producer responsibility (EPR). The successful candidate must be based in southwestern Ontario and have access to a vehicle to travel to client meetings, as required. Travel may also include attending conferences and/or meetings in the U.S. You will work as part of a small team where each member has their own role but combines skillsets to better serve our clients and efficiently complete projects. You will report to the to the Senior Environmental Consultant and support additional members of the Sustainability Consulting team. The Sustainability Consultant focus on assisting 1-2 major client(s), and will assist in all facets of the business including research, report preparation, presentation development, client support and on-site consulting project work which could take you across North America.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:
➢ University Degree or College Diploma – environmental focus preferred
➢ Minimum of 2 years of previous work experience – sustainability or waste experience preferred
➢ Strong computer skills – Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word are essential
➢ Ability to manage large data sets within Excel
➢ Strong communication skills – meetings, presentations, writing development
➢ Extremely well organized with excellent time management skills
➢ Experience in sustainability, waste diversion and Zero Waste certification, plastic packaging, and extended producer responsibility an asset
➢ Extremely motivated to learn ReMM Group’s existing business and participate in future growth
➢ Desire and ability to work within all functional areas of a small business

➢ Researching environmental initiatives, policies, and other programs

➢ Attending meetings as required
➢ Writing, reviewing and editing reports as required
Consulting On-site and Client Work:
➢ Meetings and presentations with clients
➢ On-site operational work related to consulting projects including waste categorization studies, Zero Waste assessments etc.
Compensation:
➢ Commensurate with experience
➢ 40 hours per week
